Development Phase
The Peninsula Solar Power Station is located south-east to the town of Forbes, in the Central West Orana region of New South Wales on Wiradjuri country.
The power station is currently in the development phase. Covering an area of 220 hectares, the station will be developed by Edify, and will employ around 250 people at peak construction.
In June 2024 Edify received the Development Consent from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing & Infrastructure. Details of the EIS, Amendment Report and technical studies are available online via the NSW Government’s Major Projects Portal here
Construction is anticipated to commence in FY 2025/26.
